Life After Life - CD Release Today

I'm very happy to announce that my debut CD as a composer and leader, "Life After Life" is being released today by Allos Documents (Chicago, IL). This is a very exciting project for me, and involves the wonderful contributions of clarinetist James Falzone, cellist Leanne Zacharias, and bassist/engineer Don Benedictson. Ben Davis's work palimpsest II appears on the cover and in the design.

A profile of me and the music on this recording (written by Bill Meyer) will be appearing in the April 2016 edition of Downbeat Magazine. I really enjoyed a recent article by Bill in the Chicago Reader about the annual Winter Solstice Concerts organized by drummer/percussionists Hamid Drake and Michael Zerang.
